Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Future – Third Mobility in Levice, Slovakia

From 29 August to 4 September, participants from Poland, Slovakia, and Türkiye gathered in Levice, Slovakia, for the third international mobility of the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Future Erasmus+ KA210 YOU. The mobility focused on raising awareness about obesity, social exclusion, empathy, and inclusion, while promoting healthy lifestyles and active participation among young people.

Throughout the week, participants explored the relationship between physical health, mental wellbeing, and social inclusion through a variety of non-formal education activities, discussions, creative workshops, study visits, and intercultural exchange. The programme provided a space for young people and youth workers to reflect on the challenges faced by individuals experiencing obesity, disabilities, or social exclusion, while also identifying ways to build more inclusive and supportive communities.

The mobility began with presentations from each participating country on the situation of obesity and social exclusion among young people. Participants compared national realities, discussed common challenges, and explored how stereotypes, prejudice, and lack of understanding can affect people’s opportunities and wellbeing. These discussions created a strong foundation for the activities that followed during the week.

A significant part of the mobility was dedicated to developing empathy and understanding through creative expression. Participants worked in international teams to design Public Service Announcement (PSA) posters addressing topics such as diversity, respect, kindness, and inclusion. The posters encouraged viewers to challenge stereotypes, appreciate differences, and create communities where everyone feels accepted and valued.

Another key element of the programme was the creation of short awareness-raising videos focused on social inclusion. Participants developed storylines, recorded scenes, and produced messages promoting empathy, equal opportunities, and respect for diversity. Through this process, they not only explored important social issues but also strengthened their teamwork, communication, and creative skills.

The mobility also included several inspiring study visits and meetings with local guests. Participants had the opportunity to meet individuals whose stories demonstrated resilience, determination, and the positive impact of inclusive environments. These encounters highlighted how family support, community engagement, sports, arts, and active lifestyles can empower people to overcome barriers and fully participate in society.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in workshops, group discussions, reflection activities, and practical exercises designed to encourage active citizenship and social responsibility. By sharing experiences and perspectives from different countries, they gained a deeper understanding of inclusion and learned how small actions can contribute to creating more welcoming and supportive communities.

The mobility concluded with the presentation of the posters and videos created during the week, followed by a reflection on the learning outcomes and future actions participants plan to implement in their local communities. The results of the mobility demonstrated that promoting healthy lifestyles goes beyond nutrition and physical activity-it also involves building empathy, respect, understanding, and equal opportunities for all.

The activities carried out in Levice reinforced the project’s core message: a healthy future can only be achieved when both physical wellbeing and social inclusion are treated as equally important parts of young people’s lives.

From Knowledge to Action: Developing Personalised Healthy Lifestyle Plans

One of the practical outcomes developed during the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Future Erasmus+ KA210 YOU second mobility in Poland  was a collection of personalised Healthy Lifestyle Recommendation Plans based on 4 realistic case studies reflecting the everyday experiences of young people.

Working in international teams, participants analysed a range of scenarios involving challenges such as academic stress, excessive screen time, sedentary lifestyles, low self-confidence, burnout, and lack of motivation for physical activity. Rather than focusing solely on the problems, participants were encouraged to identify practical and achievable solutions tailored to each individual’s circumstances.

For every case study, the groups prepared a comprehensive support plan including:

    • an analysis of the person’s current lifestyle and wellbeing,
    • recommendations for suitable physical activities,
    • a realistic weekly movement routine,
    • nutrition and healthy eating suggestions,
    • simple habit-building challenges,
    • motivational strategies to support long-term change.

The activity highlighted the importance of recognising that healthy lifestyles are not based on a one-size-fits-all approach. Different people face different barriers, motivations, and needs, requiring personalised and realistic recommendations that can be integrated into daily life.

Through this exercise, participants strengthened their skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and health promotion while gaining a deeper understanding of the connections between physical activity, nutrition, mental wellbeing, and healthy habits. The resulting lifestyle plans now serve as practical educational resources that can be adapted and used in future workshops and activities with young people in local communities.

By transforming theoretical knowledge into concrete action plans, participants demonstrated how small, realistic changes can contribute to building healthier bodies, healthier minds, and healthier futures.

The second international mobility of the Healthy Mind-Healthy Body-Healthy Future project took place in Poland, bringing together participants from partner organisations to explore the role of sport and physical activity in promoting healthier lifestyles and improving the overall wellbeing of young people.

Building on the knowledge gained during the first mobility dedicated to healthy nutrition, the programme focused on the benefits of regular physical activity and its contribution to both physical and mental health. Through interactive workshops, practical sessions, and collaborative learning, participants explored how sport can be used as an effective tool for youth engagement, health promotion, and non-formal education.

Throughout the mobility, participants examined the physiological and psychological effects of physical activity, while also experiencing a range of innovative sport-based educational methods that can be adapted for different age groups and community settings. The programme combined practical physical activities, case studies analysing the real cases of youth and finding possible solutions. As well as reflection sessions and group discussions, demonstrating the influence of sport on cooperation, inclusion, motivation, and personal development beyond traditional forms of physical exercise.

An important element of the mobility was the exchange of experiences and good practices among partner organisations. Participants discussed the main barriers preventing young people from leading active lifestyles and collaboratively developed Innovative sport ideas and Local Activity Plans, outlining practical initiatives that they will implement after returning to their communities to encourage greater participation in sport and healthy living.

To support the dissemination of project results, participants also took part in a series of video interviews, sharing their perspectives on the challenges facing young people, effective ways to motivate participation in physical activity, inspiring practices discovered during the mobility, and how they plan to apply the newly acquired knowledge within their organisations. These interviews form part of the project’s dissemination materials, ensuring that the ideas and experiences gained during the mobility reach a wider European audience.

The mobility resulted not only in strengthened competences of the participants but also in the development of practical educational resources, innovative activity concepts, and concrete implementation plans that will continue to support youth workers in promoting active lifestyles at the local level. By combining international cooperation, non-formal education, and practical learning, the mobility made a significant contribution to the project’s long-term objective of building healthier, more active, and more resilient communities across Europe.

    Mobility 1 Turkey

    Pierwsza międzynarodowa mobilność w ramach projektu „Healthy Mind-Healthy Body-Healthy Future” Erasmus+ KA210 YOU odbyła się w marcu 2026 r. w Mersin w Turcji.

Uczestnicy z organizacji partnerskich (Polska, Słowacja, Turcja) zgłębiali kluczową rolę odżywiania w promowaniu zdrowia fizycznego, dobrego samopoczucia psychicznego i zdrowych nawyków żywieniowych wśród młodych ludzi.

Jedna z kluczowych sesji praktycznych dotyczyła metody „Zdrowego Talerza”, która zapewnia uczestnikom proste i skuteczne narzędzie do planowania zbilansowanych posiłków i promowania zdrowszych nawyków żywieniowych.

    2-Local Activity plans

One of the key outcomes of the Healthy Mind-Healthy Body-Healthy Future mobility 1 is the development of the Digital Activity Book. It is a practical educational resource designed to support youth workers, educators, trainers, and organisations in promoting healthy lifestyles through non-formal education.

The publication brings together a collection of interactive activities, workshops, energisers, team-building exercises, trackers, reflection methods, and practical learning experiences developed and tested throughout the project’s international mobilities. Covering topics such as healthy nutrition, physical activity, mental wellbeing, mindfulness, and healthy habits, the activities encourage active participation while fostering knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork, and self-reflection.

Each activity is presented with clear objectives, step-by-step instructions, facilitation tips, and adaptation ideas, making the resource easy to use in a variety of educational settings. Whether implemented during youth exchanges, local workshops, school activities, or community events, the methods can be adapted to different age groups, learning environments, and participants’ needs.

The Digital Activity Book reflects the project’s commitment to providing practical and sustainable educational tools that extend beyond the duration of the project itself. By sharing innovative non-formal education methods and good practices developed through international cooperation, the publication supports youth workers in creating engaging learning experiences that inspire young people to adopt healthier lifestyles and make informed choices about their physical and mental wellbeing.

We invite educators, youth workers, and organisations to explore the Digital Activity Book, adapt its activities to their local contexts, and continue promoting healthy habits within their communities. Through the exchange of knowledge and practical resources, we can contribute together to building healthier, more active, and more resilient communities across Europe.
