Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Future – Third Mobility in Levice, Slovakia
From 29 August to 4 September, participants from Poland, Slovakia, and Türkiye gathered in Levice, Slovakia, for the third international mobility of the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Future Erasmus+ KA210 YOU. The mobility focused on raising awareness about obesity, social exclusion, empathy, and inclusion, while promoting healthy lifestyles and active participation among young people.
Throughout the week, participants explored the relationship between physical health, mental wellbeing, and social inclusion through a variety of non-formal education activities, discussions, creative workshops, study visits, and intercultural exchange. The programme provided a space for young people and youth workers to reflect on the challenges faced by individuals experiencing obesity, disabilities, or social exclusion, while also identifying ways to build more inclusive and supportive communities.
The mobility began with presentations from each participating country on the situation of obesity and social exclusion among young people. Participants compared national realities, discussed common challenges, and explored how stereotypes, prejudice, and lack of understanding can affect people’s opportunities and wellbeing. These discussions created a strong foundation for the activities that followed during the week.
A significant part of the mobility was dedicated to developing empathy and understanding through creative expression. Participants worked in international teams to design Public Service Announcement (PSA) posters addressing topics such as diversity, respect, kindness, and inclusion. The posters encouraged viewers to challenge stereotypes, appreciate differences, and create communities where everyone feels accepted and valued.
Another key element of the programme was the creation of short awareness-raising videos focused on social inclusion. Participants developed storylines, recorded scenes, and produced messages promoting empathy, equal opportunities, and respect for diversity. Through this process, they not only explored important social issues but also strengthened their teamwork, communication, and creative skills.
The mobility also included several inspiring study visits and meetings with local guests. Participants had the opportunity to meet individuals whose stories demonstrated resilience, determination, and the positive impact of inclusive environments. These encounters highlighted how family support, community engagement, sports, arts, and active lifestyles can empower people to overcome barriers and fully participate in society.
Throughout the week, participants engaged in workshops, group discussions, reflection activities, and practical exercises designed to encourage active citizenship and social responsibility. By sharing experiences and perspectives from different countries, they gained a deeper understanding of inclusion and learned how small actions can contribute to creating more welcoming and supportive communities.
The mobility concluded with the presentation of the posters and videos created during the week, followed by a reflection on the learning outcomes and future actions participants plan to implement in their local communities. The results of the mobility demonstrated that promoting healthy lifestyles goes beyond nutrition and physical activity-it also involves building empathy, respect, understanding, and equal opportunities for all.
The activities carried out in Levice reinforced the project’s core message: a healthy future can only be achieved when both physical wellbeing and social inclusion are treated as equally important parts of young people’s lives.
